Protein2GO

Second Quarter Progress

  1. Made the database changes necessary to support annotation non-protein entities (e.g., IntAct protein complexes, ncRNAs)
  2. Constructed a modified version of Protein2GO that works with the new database architecture
  3. Changes will be put into production the weekend of 6/13

Third Quarter Plans

  1. Work with IntAct to set up a pipeline to import protein complex metadata
  2. Make a further round of changes to Protein2GO so that it will support annotation to these complexes

Paper Annotation Tool

Second Quarter Progress

  1. Textpresso Central prototype developed
    1. Consists of a literature search engine and curation interface (Capella)
  2. Can process papers in PMC-XML (PubMed Central XML) format for subsequent viewing and curation
    1. Currently includes >770k open access papers from PMC
  3. Annotation information in JSON format will be sent to external databases/tools

Third Quarter Plans

  1. Develop capability to view papers in Capella in PDF format
  2. Test integration by sending annotations to other databases/tools, e.g. Noctua molecular modeling editor
