Propagating 'response to' annotations

Val

While I am looking at the annotation to finalise the matrix project paper, it seems the annotations which mostly seem to make well annotated genes unmanagable are the "response to" annotations.

Many of these are IEP, and many are tranferred between human mouse and rat.

We could do 2 things to contain "response to " annotations a little

i) Depracate the IEP evidence code, or disallow IEP evidence for response to terms

ii) disallo ISS/ISO/IEA annotation from the response to branch

ARG1 https://www.ebi.ac.uk/QuickGO/annotations?geneProductId=P07824

has response to herbicide, various metals, wounding, hormones, saccharides, drug, anmino acids etc.... it's crazy...

TH https://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P04177

these annotation make it impossible to find anything...

then mapped over to mouse by Ensembl...

https://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P24529 (long term it would be nice if these terms could only be used in extensions like the phase terms)

Using Matrix more widely for QC

See whether FlyBase Annotation Saturation strategy can be used at a larger scale
