Uploading GAF files

  1. Can each group describe how they now handle GAF files for example from GOA. What is the existing process ? For example: is there verifications (redundancies, quality of annotations) before a file from GOA gets integrated in your database?
  2. What do you expect would be the procedure for uploading GAFs from the reference genome? Would a curator review the GAF file? How?
  3. Would you consider using a common tool to view the annotations? Or would you develop a separate tool to view and possibly upload the annotations?
