Questions for SAB

  1. How much effort should we devote to engaging user community about GO resources and how to most effectively use them?
  2. What is appropriate balance between curation of experimental annotations (mostly in MODs) with increased context of specific protein, specific cell type, specific time, and the curation of inferential annotations for all life forms via phylogenetic/comparative approaches?
  3. What GOC tasks have greatest impact on scientific usability?
  4. Is balance of effort between ontology development and knowledge curation and usability appropriate?
  5. How can the LEGO style curation be used most effectively?
  6. How might we best achieve broad use of the common annotation tool?
  7. How cam we increase community involvement in ontology development and annotation?
