== OBO File Format ==

One of the tasks of the SWUG is to specify the OBO format used by the GO for the representation and exchange of the ontology. The current recommended format is 1.2. obof1.4 will be a backwards and forwards compatible change that will introduce additional tags and clarify obo/owl exchange.
