PAINT annotations can be downloaded from the GO ftp site here:

Folders in this directory are split by annotation group


As of 16-03-2011

1. The UniProt-GOA group is intending to upload annotations from all PAINT files into their UniProt GO annotation dataset, apart from those annotations created for: PomBase, ZFIN, SGD and MGI, where they will be retrieving annotations from the MOD's main GAF.

2. As currently PAINT evidence codes: IAS, IMR and IRD have no GO Consortium evidence code documentation, all annotations should be included using the ISS evidence code.

3. Until Panther/PAINT references are finalized, then the GO_REF:0000033 should be used in the reference field of annotations.
