L - Total Publications

This field reports on the total number of genes associated with a marker in MGI. This includes papers chosen for GO, mapping, expression etc.

M - Triaged papers

This number reports the number of papers that curators have chosen and think that there will be GO information in them.


N - Number of papers read

This column reports the number of papers that MGI curators have looked at so far in curating a gene for GO.


O - Number of papers producing GO annotations

This number reports the number of papers from which MGI curators have obtained GO information.

When a gene is complete, column O and column M should be the same and column N and column L should be the same. This means we have looked at all the paers associated with a gene for potential GO annotations.
