Discussion items
Terry Meehan of MGI reported a bug related to conflicts in the use of union and disjoint relationships. They have just discovered it, so he will submit a SF bug item soon.
bug in GraphViz viewer
Amina reported on a bug reported by a user, David Mark of Buffalo, who edits the ENVO, an ontology of environmental conditions in which organisms can live. He reports:
"In particular, when I first used it, if I viewed the ontology as a graphic, each time I clicked on a 'node' in the tree, the term was ADDED to the graphic. Now, when I click on a term, I get only that term and its ancestors, and the previous term disappears."
Amina says that she's aware of a number of bugs in the GraphViz viewer and is actively working on fixing this component.
OBO-Merge issues
There was some discussion about a number of problems in the version of the GO file that Jen created by merging the signalling project with the current ontology file. However, it is known that she used an older version of OBO-Merge (with some known bugs) because the current version of OBO-Merge is unusable, so the bugs she sees in the old version aren't relevant to the bugs in the current version. Amina is working on fixing the bugs in the up-to-date version of OBO-Merge so that it is usable again.
