Agenda

Priorities

Discussed with Paul and Csris

  1. High priority on new term requests that block people from annotating: will assign based on rota/+ expertise
  2. Ontology problems that cause bad inferences or taxon violations (eg the heart issue)
  3. Other tickets: Try to fit as Projects as much as possible, and prioritize projects
  4.  MF refactor (we will discuss remaining issues in upcoming calls)
  5. Roles: now that the bad inferences are removed, can we return to slowly fixing the remaining issues and have Karen back on the rota ?

  1.  Ontology editors efforts for the rest of 2020:
  • Pascale
  • Karen
  • Harold
  • David

Actions from last call

acts_on_population_of

  • Pascale created relation
  • Need Chris to merge if it's OK

This relation is a blocker for the imports. We would like to add it to RO. We will go over the definition and proposal that Kimberly and David have made.

obsoletion/merge whole membrane

Pascale: Merged for now:

is this OK ? should we obsolete ? (may be cleaner)

Discussion points

Roles

Karen https://github.com/geneontology/go-ontology/issues/19480

  • From the small number of annotations to “drug binding” that I have reviewed, I think it would be a good idea for the group to discuss what kinds of chemicals are appropriate to annotate as it will affect the recommended procedure for reannotation, as well as some existing terms in the ontology.

Minutes should be recorded on individual tickets and in individual projects
