- [Eared Grebe] eared grebes- 1,000 plus
- Found on every continent except Australia and Antarctica and mostly known as the Black-necked Grebe. The Eared Grebe is the subspecies found in the Americas.
- [American White Pelican]American White Pelicans- 3
- 'About 10-20% of the population uses Gunnison Island in the Great Basin's Great Salt Lake as a nesting ground.'
- [Double-creasted Cormorant] double-crested cormorants- 2
- [Great Blue Heron] Great Blue Herons- 2
- [Northern Harrier ] Northern Harriers- 3 males; one taking a jackrabbit
- [Gadwall] Gadwall- 5
- [Mallard ] Mallards- 4
- [Lessor Scaup] Lesser Scaup- 4
- [American Avocet] American Avocets- 750
- Avocets feed by sweeping their bills from side to side in through the water.
