Transporter activity

Jennifer Deegan is working with a new contact:
Paul Dobson of The University of Manchester, UK.
He has offered the supplementary material from his Nature review paper on drug transport as a source of ontology terms and annotation. His supplementary material includes a comprehensive list of drug transporters from a small number of mammal species, with the substrates they transport, the evidence code and the paper reference number. This seems like an excellent basis for annotation and term development in this difficult area of ontological representation of biology. The information has been sent to GOA for initial comment on how best to proceed.
