General observation: There are a lot of annotations to "cytoplasm" (GO:0005737) and its children, but also to other non-cytoplasmic components of the cell.  In this situation, I don't feel comfortable propagating "cytoplasm" annotations except in narrow circumstances, such as single clades.

An error was encountered while uploading these annotations in Excel (.xls) format, so please click here to find the ACHE annotations in text format. This is a plain text GAF file containing suggested annotations for the ACHE family of proteins (PTHR11559) produced by protein family annotators using the PANTHER method, July 2009. Note: Currently, the file has spaces instead of tabs.

There are 2 types of annotations:

  • Up-propagation (no species listed): Annotations to hypothetical ancestral proteins showing a consensus parental GOID (column E) and the proteins on which these annotations are based (column H).
  • Down-propagation (species listed, following the corresponding up-propagation): Annotations to real proteins based on their descent from the hypothetical ancestors (column H).

Up-propagations: 35

Down-propagations: 1675

Unique GO terms: 33

Organisms represented: 10 (ARATH, CAEEL, CHICK, DANRE, DICDI, DROME, HUMAN, MOUSE, RAT, SCHPO)

General observation: There are a lot of annotations to "cytoplasm" (GO:0005737) and its children, but also to other non-cytoplasmic components of the cell. In this situation, I don't feel comfortable propagating "cytoplasm" annotations except in narrow circumstances, such as single clades.

Problems detected and fixed through annotation of this family:

  • A link was added to make "ER lumen" (GO:0005788) an "ER part" (GO:0044432). (SF item 2828065) [1]
  • Several terms were moved from children of "response to chemical stimulus" (GO:0042221) to its child "response to organic substance" (GO:0010033) (SF item 2830403) [2].

Note: Since SF item 2830403 was accepted, either or both of the sets of annotations to "response to chemical stimulus" (GO:0042221) perhaps should instead be annotated to "response to organic substance" (GO:0010033).
